News 12 New Jersey viewer tip leads to arrest

Clifton police say they have arrested a man after receiving a tip from a News 12 New Jersey viewer.

News 12 New Jersey originally reported the story last week after Luis Garcia was attacked while taking $60 out of the ATM at Kathy's Grocery on Ackerman Avenue in Clifton. A surveillance photo from the store was shown of the alleged suspect in the foreground.

A viewer then saw the picture on air and tipped off police. Authorities say they discovered Jose Martinez at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson and arrested him. Clifton police looking for violent robber
