Gov. Christie signs pension and benefits bill

With the swipe of a pen, Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) made the pension and benefit reform bill final today.

Supporters say the legislation will plug a billion-dollar budget gap and give taxpayers a break on property taxes. Public workers, however, say they're being forced to pay for the governor's mistakes.

The joyous mood inside the War Memorial at the bill signing today was in stark contrast to the anger from public workers in the weeks leading up to the bill's passage.

The new bill will affect half a million state employees.
