Cliffside Park fire hydrant probe continues after fire

The investigation into a Cliffside Park fire hydrant continued today following a fire that destroyed a home on Father's Day.

United Water was on Knox Avenue this morning, digging up pipes under the hydrant to make sure it is working properly. Firefighters reported low water pressure in the hydrant back on June 19. The water company says the hydrant checked out during its initial testing, but neighbors want to make sure it works, before another fire happens.

Tonight, several Knox Avenue residents packed a council meeting hoping to get some answers. Local officials say they couldn't provide enough information because they haven't gotten any answers themselves from United Water.
