Paterson teacher suspended after Facebook posting about students

A teacher in Paterson has been suspended after posting about her students on Facebook. Parents say the first-grade teacher, Jennifer Schmid-O'Brien, went online and said that she felt like "a prison warden overseeing future criminals."

Paterson Schools would only say the teacher was suspended with pay and the issue was under investigation.

Many parents said they were unaware of the suspension, and wished the school system had shared more information. Some parents say that the offensive posts were removed from Facebook.
