Today's Weather: Clouds build later; highs in the mid 50s

After a chilly start this morning, temperatures will rise into the lower and middle 50s today before an increase in cloud coverage pushes through the Garden State.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologist James Gregorio says the clouds are the leading edge of some rain which will affect central and southern parts of the state later this evening and into tomorrow morning.

Temperatures are expected to rise throughout the weekend with highs approaching 70 degrees on Sunday.
