Class held to educate parents about the dangers of the Internet

Police held a safety workshop for parents at the Union City Church today to educate them about the dangers their children face on the Internet.

Police showed that by posing as a teen, they were able to extract a lot of personal information from sites such as Facebook, information that a predator could use to learn where their children live.

Another thing parents learned was how to control what a child can search for on sites such as Google.
