Newark school competes for Obama as commencement speaker

Science Park High School in Newark is one of six high schools across the country competing to have President Barack Obama speak at its commencement.

The competition is part of the Race to the Top High School Commencement Challenge, which is sponsored by the White House.

Students submitted essays and a two-minute video that helped them beat out hundreds of other schools and make it to the next round.
