CCM students designing potential military buildings

Engineering students at the County College of Morris are putting their design skills to the test.

Students are creating three-dimensional models of buildings, which may someday be used by the U.S. Army to train soldiers. The Army wants to see 3-D models to make sure they meet its needs before the it constructs buildings as part of a training course.

The school has partnered with a military contractor for the project. Students say it gives them valuable hands-on experience.

Six years ago students at CCM made three models for use by the military at the Picatinny Arsenal.
