Jersey City school supt. faces parents after controversial comments

Following controversial comments about female students, Jersey City School Superintendent Charles Epps made no mention of his remarks when he faced parents at a school board meeting tonight.

Epps had apologized this afternoon at a news conference and attempted to clear up his original statements about the girls. He was quoted as saying, "Our worst enemies are young ladies. The young girls are bad." His clarification was, "They're not bad; they're confused."

The superintendent still says that the school district has a problem. Epps made his original comments while encouraging adults to become mentors.

So far no disciplinary action has been taken.
