Official: FBI eyed computer in serial killer probe

(AP) - Investigators have examined a computerowned by a pimp connected to one of the four dead prostitutes foundalong a New York beach, looking for a record of her past customers.

A law enforcement official familiar with the Long Island beachprobe tells The Associated Press that the FBI searched the laptopbelonging to Akeem Cruz of Brooklyn.

The official says Cruz is not a suspect in the prostitutes'disappearance. The official wasn't authorized to speak publiclyabout the investigation and spoke to the AP on condition ofanonymity.

Authorities say Cruz was last seen with Megan Waterman at a LongIsland hotel last June. Court documents identify him as a pimp whoposted advertisements online.

Police have found 10 sets of human remains on a Long Islandhighway since December.
