McDonald's says it has 50,000 jobs to fillPosted: Updated:
America's favorite fast-food place, the home of Big Macs and Chicken McNuggets, is hanging out a super-sized help-wanted sign.
McDonald's has designated next Tuesday at its first-ever National Hiring Day, as they plan to add 50,000 workers.
Mason Smoot, the vice president and general manager for the New York metro region, says there will be full- and part-time positions with opportunities to move up.
As McDonald's changes the look of its stores, it's also trying to change the way people look at working for the company.
More than 9 percent of New Jersey residents are looking for work.
