14-month-old laid to rest in Newark

A 14-month-old who was killed after being struck by a car following a police chase was laid to rest in Newark today.

Officials say Zoe Jackson was killed by two teenagers driving a stolen Jeep as they tried to get away from police last week. Officers say they called off the pursuit for safety reasons, but the suspects kept speeding until they crashed into another vehicle.

Police say the second car struck three pedestrians, including the little girl, who died two days later. The other two pedestrians involved in the crash survived with minor injuries.
