New Jersey Transit unveils new smartphone app

Posted: Updated:

New Jersey Transit has rolled out a new smartphone app that should make getting around the state easier.

The new app combines several of NJ Transit's previous apps and will allow travelers the option to buy tickets, check transit alerts and look up schedules for trains, buses and the light rail.

It is available through iTunes and the Google Play store.

NJ Transit officials say that the app will keep evolving based on feedback from passengers.
