Autumn allergy season approaches New Jersey

As the autumn allergy season approaches, many New Jersey residents may soon experience itchy eyes and runny noses.
Allergist Leonard Bielory says fall allergies are mostly to be blamed on ragweed. He says that the pollen from ragweed is prolific and will peak in a couple of weeks.
"Three out of four people who have allergies are usually allergic to ragweed," he says.
Bielory had conducted allergy students on weeds and grass for Rutgers University. He says climate change could make the allergies worse, by extending the growing season for ragweed.
The autumn allergy season lasts until it gets cold enough to produce frost.
