Car drags gas station worker during robbery

A gas station worker is recovering from injuries after being dragged by a car following a robbery.

The robbery happened Thursday at the 76 Gas Station on Route 36 in Middletown. The suspect grabbed at the worker, Rashpal Singh's apron that had money inside it. Singh was then dragged across the parking lot until the apron ripped and he tumbled away.

Police say the suspect's car is a 2009 to 2012 Toyota Corolla LE with tinted windows and no hubcaps. There was also no license plate on the car at the time of the incident.

Singh tells News 12 New Jersey that he has some cuts and bruises on his legs, but he is doing OK.

Anybody with any information on the robbery is asked to contact the Middletown Township Police Department at 732-615-2100. Information can also be emailed to Detective Albert Scott at ascott@middletownnj.org.
