Animal rescue must vacate PetSmart in Mount Olive
The Eleventh Hour Rescue in Mount Olive will have to look for a new home.
The dog and cat rescue center was operating out of the PetSmart in town, but the company recently told officials they have 30 days to vacate the premises.
However, Eleventh Hour has dozens of dogs and cats still waiting to be adopted, which makes moving out problematic. The rescue is hoping the community can help.
"If you ever thought about a time to adopt a dog or cat, right now we have some fabulous dogs and cats ready for adoption, ready to go, just contact us on our website," says Eleventh Hour Recue volunteer Roger Keyser.
A spokesperson for PetSmart says that its agreement with the center expired and the decision was made not to renew.
