State police: 2 people hurt in hit-and-run boating accident

State police say two people were hurt in a hit-and-run boating accident in Morris County.
The accident occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday on Lake Hopatcong at Woodport Cove in the area Mason Street Pub, according to state police.
Witnesses say a large, white cabin boat with an aluminum prop collided with another boat, causing extensive damage to the latter vessel. The first boat then fled the scene.
Five people were in the boat that was struck. Two of them were treated at the scene for minor injuries, but further details were not disclosed.
Authorities say the boat that fled the scene should have damage to the hull and prop.
