Weather: Hot and hazy, cooler overnight

New Jersey continues to see hot and hazy weather for Tuesday afternoon into the evening hours.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says temperatures for Tuesday peaked in the low 90s. This was the fifth heat wave seen in the state this summer.

Temperatures for Tuesday's overnight hours are expected to cool into the high 60s and low 70s. Skies could become cloudy overnight.

Wednesday is expected to see temperatures cool slightly into only the high 80s. There may be some scattered rain around the state as the cloud cover increases. Thursday should see similar conditions.

Friday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms.
