Authorities say a man being pursued by Union City police was killed in an afternoon crash in Jersey City.
NJ.com reports two others suffered injuries in the crash, including a passenger in the vehicle being pursued. It occurred just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on Paterson Plank Road.
Police say officers with the Union City Narcotics Task Force observed a drug deal involving the vehicle, which sped off without warning after police identified themselves.

The injured passenger, a 41-year-old man, has been upgraded to stable condition after being transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Police say the 44-year-old man driving the box truck suffered minimal injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
