Passaic home damaged by 4-alarm fire

A Passaic home was badly damaged by a three-alarm fire that sparked Tuesday evening.

The fire started Tuesday evening at 11 Rosz Place and then partially spread to neighboring homes.

Smoke and flames could be seen pouring out of the windows of the home. People inside the home at the time of the fire were able to get out safe.

Firefighters quickly rescued a woman from a third-floor window.

Several firefighters on scene were treated for minor smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion, but there were no major injuries.

Ninety firefighters from several surrounding communities were called in to help provide aid.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
