Tenafly police rescue bulldog locked inside hot car

A Tenafly police officer is being hailed a hero after rescuing a dog locked inside a hot car.



The bulldog was locked inside a parked SUV on Washington Street. Temperatures Tuesday afternoon were in the 80s in Tenafly.



A good Samaritan spotted the dog in the car and called police, who were able to get him out of the car.



As of now, the owner of the dog was not charged.



The case has been turned over to the SPCA.
