EMT killed in ambulance crash laid to rest

A young EMT killed when a car collided with her ambulance was laid to rest Monday.
Hinal Patel, 22, was riding with her Spotswood ambulance squad through East Brunswick Saturday when the crash happened. They were responding to an emergency call at the time.
Friends, family members and emergency responders from across the state attended the services in North Brunswick.
Patel was a Rutgers graduate and had served as an EMT since 2012. She was supposed to start medical school this week.
