A Colonia man is charged in the death of a woman who lived with him.

Police responded to the home on Devon Road Wednesday morning and found the body of Giorgina Nigro. An autopsy found the woman was killed by blunt force trauma to the head.

Vito Nigro was arrested and charged in her murder. He is at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital recovering from injuries he sustained by jumping off an overpass onto the Garden State Parkway. It was believed he was attempting to commit suicide.

Investigators have not revealed the relationship between the two.
