Duke foundation wants to demolish heiress' house

The foundation set up by the late heiress Doris Duke says it wants to tear down the house she lived in on her estate in Hillsborough.
No one has resided in the home since her death 22 years ago, according to the foundation.
The house is three stories tall and covers the length of two football fields, but the foundation says it's in poor condition.
Repairs could cost as much as $20 million, the foundation says -- money it would prefer to spend on charitable causes.
The head of the foundation says that if the house is razed, 50 additional acres of "pristine" property could be opened to public use.
