Weather: Skies clear for Friday

Parts of New Jersey saw severe rainstorms Thursday evening.

The National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings for various areas of the state and a tornado warning in Burlington County. These warnings have since expired.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says straight-lined winds were a major concern during the storm. Winds were expected to reach at least 60 mph in certain areas.

The weather should clear by Friday, with the morning hours seeing some cloudy skies that should clear by the afternoon. High temperatures are expected to reach 87 degrees.

Saturday should see mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the high 80s.
