Weather: Hot and humid; thunderstorms expected

New Jersey saw hot and steamy weather across the state for most of Tuesday. High temperatures reached the upper 80s and even the low 90s in some areas.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says this hot, humid weather could bring some isolated thunderstorms to parts of New Jersey. Heavy rainfall has already hit along the coast, as well as in the northwest portion of the state. Some localized flooding in low-lying areas is a possibility.
Curren says the rain should settle down by Tuesday night, with temperatures cooling down to the low 70s.
Wednesday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a greater chance of thunderstorms in the state. High temperatures could reach just under 90 degrees.
The rain may clear slightly on Thursday, bringing along some partly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s.
