The Essex County Prosecutor has released new details about the deaths of a man and woman found inside a Newark home Monday evening.
An autopsy has found Felicia Sharpe, 47, was strangled. The cause of death for her husband, 48-year-old Juan Silas, is still not known, pending a toxicology report.
Newark police were called to their home on Millington Avenue Monday evening after someone reported finding the bodies. The couple was pronounced dead at the scene.
The prosecutor's office continues to investigate the circumstances that led to the couple's death.
