Exhibition brings graffiti art to Jersey City
A former Pep Boys in Jersey City has been transformed into a unique art gallery.
The owners of the building, located at 410 Marin Blvd., have allowed 100 artists to come in and show off their unique graffiti art inside the 30,000-square-foot space.
Artist Fathima Mohiuddin is visiting from Dubai and is excited for the chance to paint.
"Where I come from, we're really deprived of wall space," she says. "It's a new scene where they are still understanding why they should let us paint."
The exhibit, titled "Demolition Exhibition," will only be open through the weekend. Soon the building will be torn down, taking the works of art with the destruction.
The Demolition Exhibition is open from noon until 8 p.m. through Sunday.
