Fiery truck crash stalls traffic on Turnpike in Edison

A fiery crash involving a tractor-trailer stalled traffic along the New Jersey Turnpike Monday morning in Middlesex County.
State police say the crash happened near milepost 89.9 in Edison. They say a tractor-trailer loaded with trash crashed into the center guardrail and caught on fire. The driver was able to escape the flames.
The left lane of the roadway was closed while crews worked on repairs.
There were heavy delays on the Turnpike following the accident.
