Walk held in honor of slain Neptune mother
Neptune residents kicked off a remembrance walk Saturday for a neighbor who police say was shot to death earlier this month, leaving behind nine children.
Tamara Seidle's ex-husband allegedly gunned her down.
Organizers say the walk was part of a fundraiser for the nine children who were effectively orphaned after the shooting.
The walk took place on the track at Neptune High School, where two of Seidle's daughters are on the soccer team.
Teammates reportedly came up with the idea.
Phillip Seidle, a Neptune police officer, was charged with his ex-wife's murder.
The Monmouth County prosecutor's office says the investigation is ongoing.
