Suspect arrested in South Brunswick murder

Authorities say a man stalked a woman he knew and fatally shot her in a South Brunswick parking lot.
Police arrested Giver Vasquez at the home of an acquaintance in New Hope, Pennsylvania on Thursday night.
Prosecutors say Vasquez borrowed a car and followed 24-year-old Alicia Martinez-Izaguirr to a parking lot and shot her on Wednesday. Prosecutors say the two knew each other and that the shooting was not random.
Both are from New Brunswick.
Vasquez is charged with murder, stalking and weapons offenses.
He's held on $2 million bail while awaiting extradition from Pennsylvania.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Detective Shearer of the South Brunswick Police Department at (732) 329-4646, or Detective Marchak of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office at (732) 745-3254.
