Passaic police have released the identities of two people they say were shot and killed early Saturday morning outside a nightclub in Passaic.
Police say the shooting happened just before 3 a.m. outside Cloud 9 Lounge on Market Street.
Denisse Gonzalez, 22, of Haledon, and Paully Cantero, 24, were both shot in the chest. An unidentified 24-year-old man was also wounded in the attack, police say.
The victims were rushed to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, where Gonzalez and Cantero were pronounced dead.
The third victim remains in critical condition.
Police say the suspect has a dark complexion and stands approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was seen wearing a red T-shirt with silver lettering and a sweatshirt.
Police say they found a black Honda Accord at a convenience store in Clifton that they believe was used as the getaway car.
Another shooting occurred at that convenience store. It is unclear if the incidents are related.
