Authorities investigate Delta plane at Newark airport after phone threat

Authorities are investigating after they say a phone threat was made against a plane that landed at Newark Liberty International Airport Monday

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey officials say the Newark-bound Delta Flight 69 left from London's Heathrow Airport.

Passengers were escorted off the plane and onto buses while investigators combed through the luggage onboard.

U.S. Customs and Port Authority police were on the scene.

Officials have not released if any suspicious items were found.
