Weather: Thunderstorms expected in New Jersey

New Jersey is experiencing a hot and humid day with temperatures into the 90s. Thunderstorms are expected throughout the afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings for several counties in New Jersey. Those warnings have since been canceled.

The overnight hours are expected to stay cloudy with more rain possible. Temperatures are expected to cool slightly into the 70s.

Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy with light rain showers possible throughout the day. Temperatures could reach 90 degrees.

The weather should clear on Sunday with partly cloudy skies.
