Gas station attendant robbed in Roxbury
Two gas station robberies in a matter of weeks have residents in Roxbury on edge.
Roxbury police are investigating a robbery at the Delta gas station on Route 46 in the Kenvil section of town. The robbery happened just after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say the suspect is a Hispanic man who stands approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall. He was dressed in all black and was seen carrying a backpack.
The suspect allegedly pulled a gun on the attendant and demanded money. He took the money the attendant had collected so far that morning, as well as the attendant's wallet.
He was seen getting into a car parked nearby to get away. Witnesses say that car may have been a gray Volkswagen.
Roxbury police are now investigating to see if this robbery is linked to a similar one that happened at the Lukoil on Route 10 on May 20.
