Person struck and killed by NJ Transit train

Trains along the Northeast Corridor are running close to schedule Friday after a train struck and killed a man.

The man was struck just after 5 a.m. just west of the Metropark Station. He was 58 years old.

The train was traveling from Trenton, heading to New York at the time.

Trains were delayed up to 90 minutes after the accident, and buses and PATH were cross-honoring tickets. Delays have since cleared.

The deceased man's name has not been released.
