Rush to shore begins for Memorial Day weekend

The rush to the Jersey Shore for Memorial Day weekend is on, but began with some problems for motorists.
Gas pumps at the Cheesequake Service Area Sunoco gas station failed due to a computer glitch, forcing drivers to fill their tanks further down the road in Wall Township.
There was traffic congestion further north as motorists left New York and merged onto the New Jersey Turnpike.
For those heading to the beaches in Brick, Lavallette or Seaside this weekend, ongoing road construction will cause congestion.
