Thief steals bottle of cognac worth $2,800

The Linden Police Department is trying to identify a man who stole a $2,800 bottle of liquor.
Paresh Patel, owner of Pied Piper Liquor in Linden, says the man came into the store Saturday and stole a Remy Martin Louis XIII bottle of cognac. The bottle is made of baccarat crystal and the product inside is made from 1,200 different types of cognacs aged from 40 to 100 years old.
The theft was caught on the store's surveillance camera. The man can be seen going over and opening the case that the bottle was inside. He took it out and walked out of the store with it.
He was also caught on video stealing two less expensive bottles of alcohol. Police believe he will try to sell the bottle of cognac.
