Protesters dominate Chris Christie press conference

(AP) - Protesters angry over Gov. Chris Christie's decision to send state police troopers to help contain the violence in Baltimore dominated the governor's first New Jersey press conference in months.
A handful of protesters gathered behind a fence outside the parking lot of the New Brunswick Treatment Center, shouting comments and chanting for nearly half an hour Wednesday as Christie signed legislation and answered questions. The Republican governor had announced Tuesday that he was sending 150 troopers to Baltimore following riots the night before.
Christie signed a pair of bills Wednesday aimed at helping to curb prescription drug abuse in the state.
One will require the Consumer Affairs Division to maintain secure prescription medicine drop-off receptacles at law enforcement facilities where people can deposit unused medication.
