The assistant principal of Roxbury High School has been arrested and accused of sexually molesting a teenager who was living with him.
According to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Roger Schneider, 55, admitted to committing inappropriate sexual acts on the teen inside his home.
The 15-year-old was living with Schneider part time with parental permission from August 2013 until January 2015, according to prosecutors. It has not been revealed if the student was male or female, but the student was not enrolled at Roxbury High School.
Parents at Roxbury High School were shocked.
"You would think there would be better background checks on stuff like that," said parent Carl Boyd.
Roxbury school officials would not say how long Schneider has been employed with the district or the current status of his employment.
He is charged with aggravated sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
