Shooting in Newark leaves 2 men dead, authorities say

(AP) - Authorities say a shooting in Newark has left two men dead.



Thomas Fennelly, a chief assistant prosecutor in the Essex County prosecutor's office, says the shots were fired Sunday night in the city's West Ward.



The victims' identities weren't immediately released. No arrests were announced, and authorities haven't disclosed any potential suspects or motive for the shootings.



Police and prosecutors expect to release further details on Monday.
