Car crash rescue caught on dash cam
An Ocean County woman has been charged with drunken driving after she had to be rescued from her car before it burst into flames.
Kinnelon police say they received reports of a car driving erratically just before 6:15 p.m. Thursday. The car was last seen heading east on Kinnelon Road in Boonton.
While police were looking for the vehicle, they came across a 2006 Toyota Solara Convertible flipped over on its side. Dawn Milosky, 45, was unconscious and pinned inside.
Kinnelon Officers Mark Ehrenburg and Ricky Ferriola worked to rescue her as the car started to smoke. The car burst into flames seconds after she was pulled her from the wreckage.
The whole rescue was caught on the police cruiser's dashboard camera.
Milosky was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center as a precaution. She was treated for non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be OK.
Milosky faces numerous charges, including driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and driving with an open container of alcohol. She will have to face her charges at the Kinnelon Municipal Court.
