A 56-year-old man died after a trailer caught fire inside a mobile home park in Howell Friday night, officials say.
Authorities confirmed that John Gordon died in the 10 p.m. fire at 8 Aster Lane in Green Acres Park.
Other residents say the victim was a friendly neighbor.
Investigators say the fire began in the kitchen of the mobile home, but have not identified the cause.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
