Officials: Driver dies of heart attack at New Egypt Raceway

Officials say a race car driver has died after suffering a heart attack behind the wheel.
The incident occurred during a race at the New Egypt Raceway in Ocean County on Saturday. The rookie driver has been identified as 41-year-old Scott Doty, who hit a tow truck before hitting a concrete wall.
Two other people at the raceway were also taken to the hospital for unrelated medical reasons. Another male race car driver also suffered a heart attack but is expected to be OK. A female race car driver was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain.
