Passengers undeterred after 2 emergency landings at Newark airport

Two planes this weekend had to turn around after takeoff and fly back to Newark Liberty International Airport citing mechanical problems, but that hasn't deterred passengers from flying.

A United Airlines flight to Germany had to return to Newark Saturday night after experiencing engine problems. According to the FAA, one of the engines apparently overheated after takeoff.

Yesterday, United Flight 409 bound for Seattle returned to the airport after reports of possible smoke in the cabin and cockpit.

Most passengers at Newark airport said they are not worried about flying despite the two emergency landings.
