Workers brave biting cold temperatures today

People working outside around New Jersey are facing near record low temperatures today.

Temperatures this morning were in the teens across most of the state and even 9 degrees in Sussex County. Wind chills made temperatures feel like they were below zero or single digits.

Workers from J.F. Kiely Construction who were installing new gas lines in Lakewood tell News 12 New Jersey they're doing the best they can to stay warm today.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist James Gregorio says temperatures are expected to warm up later this week, with highs reaching near 50 degrees over the weekend.
