Bitter blast continues to sweep across the Garden State

In Walpack, Sussex County the temperature dropped to one degree below zero.

The rest of the state saw the temperature fall between 8 and 10 degrees. News 12 New Jersey was in Cranford as New Jerseyans braved frigid temperatures during the first bitter blast this winter.

Luckily, temperatures this low won't be hanging around for long, as the mercury is expected to rise on Thursday, with highs between 36 and 42 degrees.
