Hoboken City Council proposes plan for more parking spots

The Hoboken City Council has proposed a plan that would open up about 850 new parking spots.
If the new plan goes into effect, drivers wouldn't be able to park near every corner in Hoboken. Certain corners near schools and on narrow streets would be off-limits. There are no plans to put up signs telling drivers where they can legally park.
Council members are scheduled to discuss the plan further with the mayor and parking director next Wednesday.
