Police charge husband for murder of his wife in Elizabeth

Police have arrested a man they say killed his wife and left her body in their apartment for days.

Investigators say Reko Parks killed his wife, 45-year-old Bassima Wilson, and left her body in their apartment at the Oakwood Plaza Apartments in Elizabeth.

Neighbors say they became suspicious after not seeing Wilson for a number of days.

Officials say the discovery of Wilson's body was made by an elderly neighbor who found the body in the apartment's vestibule on Friday.

Parks is charged with first-degree murder and has had bail set at $1.5 million.
