City of Hoboken to hold annual St. Patrick's Day bash

Hoboken will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day with its annual LepreCon bash.

The all-day bar crawl takes place at various venues throughout the city.

Hoboken police say they are stepping up patrols to deal with potentially rowdy crowds.

They say arrests went up in 2016, but overall summonses and hospital visits were down.

LepreCon is a non-city-sanctioned event that started after the city's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade was discontinued in 2012.
